Gem Finder is an iOS application designed to help users research and organise potential spiritual gems from Bible readings.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Gem Finder.
Information stored on your device
Gem Finder allows you to save spiritual gems and add personal notes. This information is stored locally on your device and is not intentionally transmitted to Gem Finder's developer for storage.
Saved gems and personal notes can be deleted from within the app. Removing Gem Finder from your device also removes locally stored application data, subject to the normal behaviour of iOS and device backups.
Online research and AI features
Gem Finder accesses online resources in order to retrieve Bible and research information used by the app.
When you use the AI-powered gem generation feature, information required to generate the requested text is transmitted to a remote service for processing. This can include Bible verse text and relevant research material.
You should not enter personal, confidential or sensitive information into content submitted for AI generation.
Gem Finder uses Cloudflare infrastructure, including Cloudflare Workers AI, to provide this functionality. Information processed by third-party services is subject to the privacy and security practices of those providers.
Cloudflare states that Customer Content processed by Workers AI is not used to train the AI models made available through Workers AI or to improve Cloudflare or third-party services without explicit consent.
Advertising
Gem Finder uses Google AdMob to display advertising.
Google and its advertising partners may collect or process information such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, advertising data, app interactions, diagnostic information and performance information for purposes including displaying, measuring and improving advertising.
Where required, Gem Finder uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present privacy choices before requesting advertising. Depending on your location, applicable regulations and privacy choices, the type of advertising shown may vary.
Your privacy choices
Where required by applicable privacy regulations, Gem Finder provides options concerning the use of your data for advertising.
You can review or change applicable advertising privacy choices from within Gem Finder by opening Settings → Privacy → Manage Ad Privacy.
You may also control certain tracking and advertising permissions using the privacy settings provided by iOS.
Where applicable, changing or withdrawing consent through these controls will update the advertising privacy choices available to Google and its advertising partners.

Gem Finder uses third-party services to provide parts of its functionality, including:

Data retention and deletion
Saved gems and personal notes stored locally by Gem Finder can be deleted from within the app.
Removing Gem Finder from your device also removes locally stored application data, subject to the normal behaviour of iOS and device backups.
Gem Finder's developer does not maintain a separate account or cloud database containing your saved gems or personal notes.
Information processed independently by third-party services is subject to those providers' respective retention and deletion policies.
